EBL participated in the Toys for Tots collection in coordination with the Chesapeake Area Society of Healthcare Engineers (CASHE). We collected new unwrapped toys up to December 5th. EBL Principal Edward Hubner was on a panel at the The State of The Industry: Design Disciplines Forum. The Maryland Coalition of Interior Designers sponsored this event which brought in a panel of industry experts to discuss the variety of design disciplines in Maryland and how they function at the state level. Hubner discussed the issues facing the engineering designers.
EBL Principal Edward Hubner earned the Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) certification from ASHRAE. This ASHRAE certification validates competency to lead, plan, coordinate, and manage a commissioning team in implementing commissioning processes in new and existing buildings.
EBL principal Jeff McBride has the EBL booth set up at the Healthcare Facility Managers Association of the Delaware Valley Spring Conference & Technical Exhibition. The one-day program provided valuable information for individuals who are responsible for managing the compliance of codes, standards and regulations of their facility. Jeff McBride was there to showcase EBL's Life Safety and Code Consulting specialties.

We welcomed two students from Baltimore County schools to spend the day with us as part of the Society of American Military Engineers' - Baltimore Post "Day with an Engineer" event.
These two Parkville High School students spent the day with our engineers to learn more about the engineering profession. This event usually takes place during Engineers Week, but this visit was postponed for a week due to inclement weather.
Congratulations to EBL's Dan Lookenbill and the other newly licensed engineers recognized at the MD Society of Professional Engineers Awards night. The night also included presenting James Soltesz, PE of Soltesz Engineering with the inaugural Icon of the Industry award and Steven Long for the Meritorious Service award.
After the new engineers received their certificate, they took part in the Order of the Ring ceremony. It is a ceremony where these engineers vow to uphold the obligations of the engineering profession.
