Toys in the van

Toy Drop Off Location

EBL participated in the Toys for Tots collection in coordination with the Chesapeake Area Society of Healthcare Engineers (CASHE). We collected new unwrapped toys up to December 5th. EBL Principal Jeff McBride and VSC Fire and Security's Tammy Baczynskyj dropped off the collected toys at Toys for Tots. Thanks for your support.

IFMA Chesapeake Annual Golf Outing at Mountain Branch

EBL's Paul Delaney, Matt Spencer and Jeff McBride partnered with Karl Rickert of Rickert Engineering to play at the IFMA Chesapeake Chapter Annual Golf Outing at the Mountain Branch Golf Course. EBL sponsored the putting contest.

Catch A Lift Fund Golf Outing

EBL's Matt Spencer, Ed Hubner and Paul Delaney participated in the Catch A Lift Golf Outing at the Country Club of Maryland. EBL sponsored a hole at the event to benefit the Catch A Lift Fund - Fitness for Wounded Veterans.

EBL at ASBO 67th Annual Spring Conference

EBL Principals Tony Kleponis and Edward Hubner were at the Association of School Business Officials of Maryland and District of Columbia annual spring conference. EBL had a booth in the exhibit hall to showcase our expertise and experience in the education environment. This was EBL's 17th year at this event.

EBL Principals visit Capitol Hill

EBL Principals Jeff McBride and Edward Hubner were part of a group of ACEC representatives who met with Congressman Andy Harris and Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger of Maryland.
The ACEC representatives visited their congressional representatives to raise awareness of the issues affecting the engineering profession across the nation.

EBL Principal speaks to Baltimore POWER Group

EBL Principal Jeff McBride spoke to the Baltimore POWER Group at a Friday night meeting in April. He spoke about the responsibilities of facility owners regarding maintaining fire protection systems.
The Baltimore POWER Group is a women's consortium of experts in the property and operations functions within the commercial, industrial and residential real estate markets, serving Baltimore, Maryland and the surrounding communities.

EBL Principal on MDCID panel discussing The State of the Industry: Design Disciplines

EBL Principal Edward Hubner was on a panel at the The State of The Industry: Design Disciplines Forum. The Maryland Coalition of Interior Designers sponsored this event which brought in a panel of industry experts to discuss the variety of design disciplines in Maryland and how they function at the state level. Hubner discussed the issues facing the engineering designers.

EBL Principal earns ASHRAE certification

EBL Principal Edward Hubner earned the Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) certification from ASHRAE. This ASHRAE certification validates competency to lead, plan, coordinate, and manage a commissioning team in implementing commissioning processes in new and existing buildings.

EBL Principal at HFMADV conference

EBL principal Jeff McBride has the EBL booth set up at the Healthcare Facility Managers Association of the Delaware Valley Spring Conference & Technical Exhibition. The one-day program provided valuable information for individuals who are responsible for managing the compliance of codes, standards and regulations of their facility. Jeff McBride was there to showcase EBL's Life Safety and Code Consulting specialties.

EBL Principal Tony Kleponis at the ACEC Metropolitan Washington luncheon at Maggiano's Little Italy. The luncheon brought together members from the metropolitan Washington, DC area for networking and updates on the industry. EBL was a sponsor at the event.

Day with an Engineer

We welcomed two students from Baltimore County schools to spend the day with us as part of the Society of American Military Engineers' - Baltimore Post "Day with an Engineer" event.
These two Parkville High School students spent the day with our engineers to learn more about the engineering profession. This event usually takes place during Engineers Week, but this visit was postponed for a week due to inclement weather.

Congratulations, Dan!

Congratulations to EBL's Dan Lookenbill and the other newly licensed engineers recognized at the MD Society of Professional Engineers Awards night. The night also included presenting James Soltesz, PE of Soltesz Engineering with the inaugural Icon of the Industry award and Steven Long for the Meritorious Service award.
After the new engineers received their certificate, they took part in the Order of the Ring ceremony. It is a ceremony where these engineers vow to uphold the obligations of the engineering profession.
