EBL Principal Ed Hubner was in Chicago for the NCEES Annual Meeting. This is where the NCEES member boards will come together to debate the issues and vote on motions to direct the path for the professions of engineering and surveying.
Since its founding in 1920, NCEES has been committed to advancing licensure for engineers and surveyors in order to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of the U.S. public.
EBL was a sponsor at a Chesapeake Society of Healthcare Engineering's 2nd Annual Alleys for Animals bowling event. The event, held at Mustang Alley's in Baltimore, featured bowling, networking and learning more about the animal charities that benefitted from the event.
The three charities featured were Pitties and Purrs, Senior Dog Sanctuary and Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland. Charlie, the dog in the picture above, was one of the featured adoptable dogs from the Senior Dog Sanctuary.
EBL attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the DEVCOM’s newly renovated and expanded Biomanufacturing Pilot Facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground on June 12. EBL was the Engineer of Record for this $50 million renovation and expansion.
The 25,000-square-foot Biomanufacturing Pilot Facility fills a vital niche in the effort to both free the nation from foreign suppliers and pioneer the creation of entirely new materials essential for national defense.
EBL Principal Edward Hubner was welcomed to the NSPE 2024 class of Fellows. The Fellow designation honors active National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) members who have demonstrated exemplary and devoted service to their profession, the Society, and their community. Requirements for the title include holding at least one elected office at any level and active involvement at the national level.
“It is with great pride and admiration that we recognize this year's class of Fellows, who have been selected by their peers for this distinguished honor,” said Majella Stevenson P.E., F.NSPE, the chairman of the executive committee of the Council of Fellows. “These exceptional individuals have demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to their profession, the Society, and their community. We are honored to welcome them as Fellows and look forward to their continued leadership and service at the local, state, and national levels.”
EBL Principals, Edward Hubner and Anthony Kleponis were presented with a certificate of appreciation for EBL being an exhibitor for 20 years at the Maryland Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) annual conference. It was the Maryland ASBO 70th Annual Spring Conference and the vendors' theme was the 70s. Since EBL was established in the 1970s, we knew exactly what to wear. The conference is a professional development event for school business leaders.
Beautiful day for golf. EBL was the sponsor of the putting contest at Cheasapeake Area Society of Healthcare Engineering (CASHE) Annual Golf Outing. Over 30 teams participated in this year's event at Mountain Branch in Joppa, MD.

EBL was a sponsor at the Chesapeake Area Society of Healthcare Engineering's 1st Annual Spring Symposium. The event included a number of presentations for the healthcare industry. The Life Safety Seminar showed the importance of barrier management with a simulated fire demonstration and hands on lab.
Two local high school students spent the day with us as part of the SAME Day with an Engineer event. The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Baltimore Post coordinated this annual event to allow high school students the opportunity to gain an understanding of engineering and scientific disciplines by working side by side with experienced professionals.
How clean is the air in your building? EBL hosted a training event featuring Camfil solutions. The training and demonstration trailer highlighted air filtration solutions for a variety of facilities from offices to laboratories.
