Travis Air Force Base Buildings Fire Suppression

Client:Travis Air Force Base
Project:Buildings 1365 and 1336 Fire Suppression

Project Info

EBL led a team that provided a complete design to renovate the fire alarm and fire suppression systems for buildings that were part of the facility that provided safe storage for the base's hazardous waste.

The fire alarm and fire distribution systems in these buildings were originally designed and constructed to support sprinkler-type fire protection systems in a hazardous waste facility. These facilities fell into disrepair and the fire suppression systems became incompatible for the approved hazardous materials stored. The team's designs included a new slab with rodent prevention measures, pumps, interconnecting piping, and associated appurtenances.

Additional designs were created for bird deterrent systems, lightning protection systems, electrical upgrades and water storage for the fire pump.
