EBL was retained by Johnson Controls, Inc. to provide engineering site investigations and evaluations of potential Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) in support of the JCI GSA Region 5 Energy Services Performance Contract (ESPC). Efforts included field investigations to identify potential energy savings projects and upgrades in the buildings' mechanical, electrical and water consuming systems. Field investigations gathered equipment and system operational information necessary to perform energy consumption and potential savings calculations to provide high level estimates of probable cost and recommendations for improvements.
EBL developed three ECMs for the Investment Grade Audit (IGA) for three locations in Ohio. EBL produced 35% design documents and specifications suitable for JCI to obtain firm fixed construction pricing from contractors.
