Ford's Theatre Fire Protection

Project Information

EBL was retained to provide engineering services for the pre-design and design of various fire protection system upgrades to include the replacement and modification of existing sprinkler systems, the replacement of the existing fire booster pump and associated piping, and the replacement of the existing fire alarm system at Ford’s Theatre, located in Washington DC.

Pre-design services included electrical load analysis, water supply analysis, sizing of the new fire booster pump, sizing and location of drains, new dry-pipe sprinkler systems, modifications to the existing wet-pipe systems, and determining the location of fire alarm control equipment and devices. EBL developed drawings and a construction cost estimate based on the pre-design analysis.
