Bel Air Elementary School

Project Information

EBL was hired by Harford County Public Schools to act on their behalf as the commissioning agent for renovations at the Bel Air Elementary School. Renovations to the 49,748 SF school included the replacement of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system as well as other building systems.

Our task was to work alongside the engineer of record, installer and facility staff to ensure that the replacement HVAC system was installed and operating according to code and the school's requirements.

The scope of our services included design review, development of the commissioning specification sections, construction phase submittal review, construction phase inspections (limited to refrigerant piping system pressure test witnessing) and functional performance testing. Our commissioning scope included the HVAC equipment installed as part of the renovation project.
