Medical Institute for Emergency Medical Systems, 653 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD
This commission involved the design of mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems for a new 45,000 SF administrative and training building in a historic neighborhood. It also involved master planning and programming for the accommodation of a state agency responsible for the communication, education, certification and training of emergency medical personnel throughout the State of Maryland. Communications with emergency rooms, helicopters, ambulances and personnel throughout Maryland are coordinated, monitored and channeled through the communications center in the building, which operates 24 hours a day.
