EBL has worked on a vast array of medical facilities ranging from specialized oncology and psychiatric units to central laboratories and regional health clinics. EBL's staff can be organized to handle small renovation projects as well as designing completely new buildings. Engineering services have been provided for a myriad of projects for specialized systems and critical areas such as medical gas systems, emergency power, surgical suites, hospices, research and diagnostic laboratories, physical therapy suites, pharmacies, radiology, pediatrics, oncology, urology, gynecology, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, respiratory and emergency rooms. Ancillary and support spaces include patient shower and toilet rooms, nurses' stations, dining areas, drug treatment facilities and family health centers.

Fire Protection Services for Mercy Medical Center  EBL Engineers has been providing fire protection services to the Mercy Medical Center since 1997.
Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health  EBL’s Fire Engineering Division has worked for NIH for the 1997, 2000, 2003 and 2006 Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospitals Statement of Conditions life safety report for the 3.2 million SF Clinical Research Center.
Kernan Hospital, Baltimore, MD  The work performed by EBL on the Kernan Hospital included: Pharmacy renovations consisting of the conversion of a storage room to a new outpatient pharmacy with a new walk-up service window, the splitting of an existing space into two separate spaces in the Employee Nurse Office and the CN3 renovations, comprised of new partitions in existing office spaces to provide additional work stations.
