EBL Engineers, LLC is pleased to announce four staff members have attained LEED AP accreditation. Recently professional engineers Anthony Kleponis (mechanical/Associate Principal), Karl Houser (fire protection/Associate Principal) and Rashid Nadeem (electrical), along with mechanical designer Lucas Wiede, have been awarded LEED AP accreditation. These four join Jamie Raithel, mechanical project engineer, who has been LEED AP certified since 2006.
LEED AP accreditation is awarded through the U.S. Green Building Council; the USGBC is the national consensus for producing a new generation of buildings that deliver high performance inside and out. The USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education, and its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System.
The LEED Rating System supports global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. A LEED AP is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, support & encourage integrated design and streamline the LEED application and certification process.
LEED AP accreditation strengthens EBL's qualifications when responding to RFPs requiring a LEED AP and provides additional resources for green building as it relates to EBL’s design solutions for a LEED project.
